Activity of Daily Living (ADL’s): 
Basic daily functions including, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and dining.

Assisted Living: 
A state-licensed senior living community of more than 25 beds that offers recurring support with activities of daily living (ADLs), complemented by wellness, social and activities programs.

Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA):
National organization of senior living communities recognized for their commitment to improving residents’ quality of life and independence through education, organizational practice and innovation. Parc Communities is a member of ALFA.

Independent Living: 
A multi-unit senior living community where individuals live independently but have access to supportive services such as dining, housekeeping, transportation, wellness programs, scheduled activities and social events. Independent living encourages socialization and promotes an active lifestyle.

ParcCare:
Discreet proprietary homecare services available to Parc’s independent living residents to accommodate additional needs as they arise or change.

Personal Care Home (PCH): 
A state-licensed senior living community that offers recurring support with activities of daily living (ADL’s), complemented by wellness, social and activities programs. Personal Care Home is the state licensure status under which Parc at Piedmont’s Assisted Lifestyle operates.
